Hurricane refugees! Uncle Sam (Esther's brother) and Aunt Denise had to evacuate from New Orleans during Hurricane Gustav. We were glad they came to Dallas so we could see them.


This morning! Allison was just too cute this morning to pass up a photo op. She's a full-blown toddler now, walking everywhere like a big girl and oh so many teeth, including molars. She is also developing quite an independent streak. Don't know where she gets that from...

We found out...

that we're having a boy and a girl!!!

Oh, and for those who didn't know, we are expecting TWINS, due sometime in January!

Moving

Sorry for the lack of blog updates! Since Allison's first birthday party, we have been furiously getting ready to move into our first house! We have spent the last few days painting the three bedrooms, closets, and hall. Who knew painting took so long? Since we'll be moving next week, expect that we won't update the blog until we're settled in.

Allison has been super busy lately as well. She is crawling more on her hands and knees, and she is pulling up on everything and everyone! She has also figured out how to "cruise", and she loves to walk around the room while holding onto our hands for balance. On Friday, the 4th, we were having lunch with Uncle Jun & Aunt Sarah and I looked over to see her climbing their stairs! Watch out, world, here comes Allison!

Allison got her DOC-band off yesterday!! Here are the before and after pics. One of the problems the band addressed was the width of Allison's head. Her head used to be a lot wider than it was long. In the first picture, you can see that now her head looks lengthened.

Also, the band corrected some flattening and assymetry at the back of her head. The second set of pictures show how much rounder the back is.

And finally, you'll notice in the last set of pictures that her head looked "flat" and the sides of her forehead looked pushed out, which is called brachyocephaly. You can definitely see the overall change in her head shape and especially how different her forehead looks. Amazing!
