Sick days

Photobucket
Allison's been sick with coughs, sneezes and keeping mommy and daddy awake at nights. She brought home some friends (ie, germs!) and passed on the gift to both of us. Dad is feeling better, but mom is feeling sick again. Terrific!

Does a lizard really say that? Allison thinks so!

Just the Three of Us

Someone requested that we put a picture of the three of us on our blog, not just pictures of Allison, although she is definitely the cutest! This is one of our recent favorites. Again, check out the cutest one, in the middle!

Mama's girl

Even though Allison is able to say "DaDa", she's still Mommy's girl. That will last until she gets a little older and realizes that Dad is more fun and funnier! But for now, I relish in her squeals of delight and big smiles when she sees me. I love that I can soothe and quiet her just by picking her up and holding her. And it melts my heart when she looks up at me in recognition, sometimes even reaching out her hands to touch my face as if to say, "You're my mommy!" That I am, and so incredibly blessed because of it.

Exhibit C!

Here is the last piece of evidence that my darling baby is growing up. I submit to you, her first words. Some may believe that she doesn't actually understand what she's saying, but you're wrong. WRONG! Allison was, in fact, saying it while sculpting a statue of Dad's likeness made from a log using a chainsaw. See, that's proof.

Still growing...

Another example of my daughter defying my strict rules of "not growing up." I'm not sure what we're doing wrong, but maybe we should have fed her diet fried chicken instead.

- Love Dad

Growing up is tough on Dad.

Excuse me? Who's growing up? Allison, that's who. No one gave her permission, but she decided to ruin her perfect "gummy" smile. I believe this is her first act of defiance, and will reap the consequences accordingly (ie, being able to eat like a normal person). I love you Allison, but if you keep acting like this, I'm going to have to ground you.
